“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you’re all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn’t happen much, though.”
Not long ago, I was contacted by Emily from The Beautiful Book Company. She sent me one of her classics book boxes and, I can honestly say, I have never been as excited by a bookish package before. The books came (aptly) beautifully packaged, in a gorgeous high quality box which I have kept to store my photography props in.
When I opened the box, I was delighted to see that each book (all six of them!) were separately wrapped. This made the process of opening them so magical.
I chose the classics book box because – as you’ll know – I adore classics. However, I was a little concerned that I would own lots of them already. I was so pleased to find that, although I have read all of the books, the only one I already owned was Pride and Prejudice, and my own copy did not have such a beautiful and covetable cover. And – I’m sure you’ll agree – one can never own too many copies of Pride and Prejudice.
The choice of books really was excellent. All undeniably classics, all incredible, high quality editions and all wonderful stories. I had been meaning to buy my own copies of Catcher in the Rye and To Kill a Mockingbird for a long time (I hadn’t read either since school) and it is almost as though Emily read my mind! I was also very excited to receive a Macmillan Collector’s Edition of The Tiger in the Smoke. I’m collecting these!
These book boxes can be found The Beautiful Book Company along with a whole host of other boxes and subscription packages. The choice really is fabulous so you should check it out – they make perfect gifts!
I received a free book box in exchange for an honest review.
